WE WERE ABLE TO HOLD ISAAC TONIGHT!!! WHOO HOO!!! He's looking much leaner now...not as puffy as before! We tried nipple feeding him for three feeds and he couldn't get the suck-swallow motions to eat, so he was put on an ng feeding tube. (He looks pitful....but, at least now he can start eating!)

Labs showed that Isaac has low calcium levels (this is only interesting because it's something that the DiGeorge kids have). They sent another set of blood off for other chromosomal disorders. We still can't hold our butterball...He's very puffy today, so he was started on lasix to flush the fluids out. Later this evening, he was taken off the ventilator. He still hasn't had a bottle...he's just on the iv.

Dr. Mayman did an echo. Bishop Jenkins and Joe gave Isaac a blessing right before he went back for his heart cath. Dr. Galindo did a heart cath that went from 3:00pm-8:30 pm. While doing the heart cath, they were able to put a stent in his tiny pulmonary artery. (They had to put Isaac on a ventilator for the heart cath.) After the cath, they did an x-ray that showed Isaac had a collapsed lung (right upper lobe). He was started on antibiotics today. We still have yet to hold our angel...but, we can rub his arm and hold his pacifier in.

We had a scheduled c-section @ 4:00pm. As we checked in, my contractions were already 5 minutes apart! The docs had a lot of trouble getting Isaac out..after pulling and tugging...he came out at 4:22...as blue as a blueberry!!!! (Not what we expected) His 5 minute apgar score still showed 0 for color. Off he was sent to the NICU with Joe following. He weighed in at 7lbs14ozs and 21 inches long...our biggest boy yet!!! So...the conditions confirmed are: Severe Tetralogy of Fallot, Pulmonary Atresia, Narrow Pulmonary Artery, Multiple Collateral Arteries, and possible DiGeorge Syndrome. (His blood was sent off for chromosome checks for the DiGeorge)..

We started having contractions every ten minutes yesterday....and they're still going! We met with the doctor this morning....and did another stress test...confirming the contractions and that out butterball is under no stress!!! Maybe we'll get to meet this little guy sooner than we think!
