Serenity Now...

Let's just say...

It's 6 something in the AM, my alarm didn't go off, Chris missed his ride to seminary, and now I have to take him to school, all while feeling horrible that this other mom had to wait outside our house while I was still in bed.

Yesterday was busy...maybe my alarm went off and I slept through it.

I had therapy with Karen and Logan yesterday morning, I went to the church for an hour to help set up for the Relief Society night, I picked up the big kids from school, took Isaac to the peds, and ended the night at the high school for Chris' wrestling banquet.

The peds said that Isaac is fine...no problems with his ears, throat, nothing...
THEN...WHY ALL THE SCREAMING?
I think he just wants to sleep with his mommy.
Cute...but, not practical. For the last two nights, for our sanity's sake, Joe has slept downstairs and gave his spot to Isaac. This cannot happen forever. Isaac canNOT be my snuggle buddy everynight. I like snuggling with my hubby....not getting kicked in the face by sweet Icky.

and let me just add that Eli was ALSO in my bed last night.
I think the solution will be to put the full size guest bed beside my bed...pushed up together...and let Isaac and Eli sleep on it. BUT...then, you have two boys in the same room with mom and dad...hmmmmm....I don't think "relations" would prosper under these circumstances.

still thinking....
still thinking....

TODAY...we just MIGHT take Chris for his driving test after school. I have my IEP meeting during the morning and Mandy said that she'd pick up Eli from School....

poor Chris...hope he does good (because he SURE hasn't done any extra studying). He thinks that it's all "common sense"...
and it is....
but, he doesn't have much of that...so, we'll see how far it takes him:)

off to school!

I am so glad Isaac does not have an Ear Infection, but very sorry that Isaac is keeping you up at night screaming with no reason why. I know it is hard but try and sneek in a nap after you take the kids to school some time/day.

Aww......Chris....no common sense?? Poor guy! I hope he does well on his test.

Lulu went to the peds yesterday too.....because she was running 104.2. Ugh. Just a virus.

Maybe that is what is wrong with me and Craig....we play musical beds all night!!

I will take Isaac too!! (or Eli or Chris or just you!)

Isaac can stay with me, too!! :)

I think we are headed to the pediatrician today, too. Geez!

Well, I don't know how you do it, Supermom. All those boys sleeping around you at night. I need my space and my sleep or else I turn into CRAZY WOMAN! I hope your boys let you get some quality rest very soon. Sending you restful hugs. xo

Hi Kathy,

I feel your pain!!! Emma is in bed with us every night, too....usually one of us heads off to the couch, but no one really gets any sleep around here. She wants us to rub her back all night long...if you try and roll over, she's slapping you, saying, "BACK, BACK!" Ugh. I think our arms are going to fall off!

If you ever figure out a solution, please do share!!! :) Before Emma was born I used to wake up to 3 sleeping bags all around our bed. My mom called it "Camp Kubiak." :) So I guess they do outgrow it at some point....

Good luck to Chris on his driving test! We need to get Amanda in for her permit before driver's ed starts on Tuesday!!! Kristen just got her first ticket last week....going through a red light. (Well, according to her, she was only half way over the line when the light changed. Of course, it was the mean ol' policeman's fault and not HER'S!! Yellow does mean speed up, right?!) If only they really did have "common sense," then I'd be $90 richer....

Glad to hear little Isaac is well...hope the screaming stops for you soon. I think he must be going through a stage...one you hope ends quickly, huh?! :) I loved seeing the old photo of him. Wow, you don't realize how much they've grown up until you look back!

Well, need to put a fire under Donnie, he's supposed to be getting ready for school. Take care, Kathy, and give those cute boys a hug from us!

Lots of Love,

Wendy (& Emma, too!)
