Ok...you know that I haven't taken any new pics this weekend...so,
I decided to go back and see what we were doing this time last year:
Eli was hooked up to the nebulizer (just like we all are now)...

Isaac was recovering from his August heart surgery...getting ready for his
next November surgery...

He did NOT like being on his belly...and could finally hold
up that fat little head (and remember the hair curl on top...oh, I miss that!)

Eli had Joe draw a pic on his belly....because,
why wouldn't you??

and Eli is a cheese ball...and Isaac is wondering WHY...WHY does he always
sit beside me?? I'm just trying to read my Halloween card!

Oh...what a year!!! Isaac's heart is fixed (for now), he rolls on his belly, he has more hair, he eats, he isn't so puffy...HOLY COW...It's like I have a new baby here!

I'm holding Mr. Isaac now...so, I must be quick! Joe let me and Isaac take a 3 hour nap today!!! Then, he took Eli to the pumpkin patch (which is in the casino parking lot) and let him ride the rides and slide on the big slide. What a sweet dad...especially considering the set up was FILLED with Hay...and Joe is highly allergic...he and Eli came home with puffy eyes!!! Wheezing is sure to fill our home tonight!

I made TWO pumpkin pies today (not from scratch)...and I'm sure they will be gone by tomorrow. Isaac keeps pulling the paci's from his little beanie babies...so, Joe's making him another one right now...he can't fall asleep without it!

That's about it. I need to eat some pie and get into bed (I know...that's why my bum is so big).

So....Isaac and the puffy face. Maybe that's why I'm so fluffy.....blame it on the heart!

A year has gone by fast.

Did Chris have a good time last night?

You are a nut! Praying the pie goes to Isaac's bum and not yours. :0)

You are quite the domestic, making pies and tutus....makes the rest of us not look so good! :0)

I love the old pics...he looks like a pile of chub. It amazes me how much your boys look alike.

WoW!! How'd you get his hair to lay down & can you help with Vaeh's?! (lol)

Isn't it fun to go back & look at how far they've come in a year? Just think what it'll be like to do that in 10 years?!

As for that banana split you suggested... we don't have a sonic close so how about sending me some of that yummy sounding pumpkin pie?! (Enjoy a piece for me before everyone else devours it!) - Hope you got some rest!

I think I'll have to do the same thing. Not eat pie...go back and look at our pictures from last year. I make a rule not to have cakes, pies, or cookies in my house cause I'll eat them all. I didn't lose 30 pounds to gain it all back. I did make a cake a few weeks ago and half of it is still sitting on the counter. Guess I'll throw it away. That's amazing to me that I didn't eat it all. :)

I can't believe how BIG Isaac was. What a ham! And Eli with his painting on his belly. That kid is hilarious.

We did the pumpkin patch yesterday but not in a casino parking lot. The joys of Vegas!

Love,

Vanessa

Look at how long our little Sir Isaac has gotten...man what a year will do for ya! I'm praying for that kind of thinning out too! And if it's possible he's gotten even cuter in a year.
So lovely to see Eli is still his silly self. It's always good to have a comic relief child in the family!

And my dearest Kathy I want everyone to know how wonderful you are and ALL that you do, So I just had to Share you with my blogspot friends. I hope I put up pics that did your work justice because there were so many wonderful ones to pick from!! I love em all...

Oh Kathy, look at how well Isaac is doing now compared to last year. It is funny, I remember that picture of Eli with the painted tummy :) What a toot! I am so amazed at how strong these kids are and how far they have come! What a wonderful reminder of all YOUR hard work with these boys!

I hope you enjoyed your pie, if anyone deserves a yummy treat it is you :)

Love ya,
Samantha

I love seeing these older pictures of the boys but can't wait to see them all in person tomorrow! We miss you guys - that cutie little Isaac is growing up so fast!
I know we were just there in March but I swear, he has made so much progress this year, even in the last 7 months that he looks like a different child.

So glad you took the pic of Eli's tummy drawing and still have it, he'll love it when he's older. . . I hope he never changes!

I'm bringing my low carb cookbook with me . . . I wonder if there's such a thing as a low carb pumpkin pie? I doubt it though - we'll all just have to sacrifice our waistlines for the great taste of Fall!!! I'm okay with that! :) See you tomorrow.

Ok, your bum is anything but big, you tiny little thing. Mmmm, pumpkin pie, that sounds delicious right now.

I LOVE the pics from last year. What a cute idea. Look at how much that little munchkin has grown since then. He is just the cutest little man.

Eli's face on his chest cracked me up. Silly boy. :)

Have a good day! xooxxx
