It's me....crazy eyes, O2 up my nose...and my remote!
I think I'm looking at the tv...but, I'm not sure!
Eli wanted to show how handsome he was also!

Thursday....our morning started with Isaac retching AGAIN and THROWING UP ...AGAIN. urrghh. So, I take butterball downstairs...where he throws up again. So, I hook up the sat monitor and he's still bouncing around from the low 90s to the mid 80s. I decide to put him back on O2 (he slept fine without it last night). After I put on the oxygen....he didn't retch or throw up anymore today. So....I'm not sure what the throwing up is about. He isn't sick with a cold or virus. He only sneezed once yesterday...he doesn't have a runny nose....and he doesn't cough. So...here's what I'm thinking (because I'm not a doctor...but, they don't seem to know what's going on either)...First...it's his heart. Something's wrong and it's pumping harder and the oxygen just makes him feel better. OR second...if he does have a post nasal drip, maybe the oxygen is drying it up, making it not gag him. EITHER WAY...the oxygen (for today) seems to be the magic touch! He's really starting to sleep alot. He's only awake for about 4-5 hours a day...he's just pooped out all the time. Maybe keeping him on the oxygen all day today and tonight will help him be more energized tomorrow.

Now..for the drama you've been waiting for...
Joe and Eli went to pick up Chris from school. The boys come in first and we're talking...then, Isaac starts fussing, so I walk over to him. (He's eating while he's sleeping). He rolls over and I hear a GUSHHHH. What in the world?? Oh no...the tube fell out! NOPE....the mickey button fell out of his belly....ALL OF HIS FOOD IS ALL OVER HIS BELLY AND I'M JUST LOOKING AT A HOLE!!!! This just freaks me out! I'm yelling for Joe...who miraculously appears and calmly puts a rag over the HOLE while I get another button and the supplies needed to put it in. I don't know what I would have done if he wasn't home....I'm not a fast thinker in these situations...and my mind is running in a million different directions. So...Isaac is covered in STINKY milk gunk. I change his clothes...wash him down...and he's just happy kicking around like ....WHAT...What's all the fuss about?!?!?! After he's settled, a new button in, and eating again...I inspect the other button. It has a hole in the balloon. We just put that button in yesterday...it must have just been defective.

So...all that being said. We're putting the big boys to bed a little early, we're recording Lost to watch tomorrow....and we're headed up to bed early like OLD FARTS!
Buenos noches mi amigos.....hasta manana!!

You're just so funny. You are going to have sooo many stories to tell all the girls about when Isaac gets older.

OMG! You have me laughing as always! First of all...the pictures are adorable...your comments crack me up!

As for the throwing up...Isaac...cut it out! I am concerned about him...the sats, the fatigue...you have made me worry...stop that...now I have to worry about him and Micah (who is way too sweaty and breathing faster than I like) so let's just be done with this!

Now, this whole mickey/g-button thing has made me decide that Micah and I are having a LONG talk tomorrow about his weight...I am AFRAID of that thing!

Tell Joe to get that job here in Dallas so that our boys can get fat together...maybe they just need some inspiration...like on The Biggest Loser...only ours can be The Biggest GAINER!

I am glad that Jen has found a new Lost friend...I never got into it b/c the whole airplane crash at the beginning...I can't watch anything with plane crashes, they scare me way too much!

Give that adorable boy (crazy eyes and all) big hugs from me...I love the heart tape for the oxygen! I hope that you and Joe had a wonderful night of sleep...I plan to go to sleep now myself! I have to wake up early to get Noah to speech by 8am...that is WAY TOO EARLY!!!! Just think...that is only 6 am your time!

Love,
Samantha

Kathy...can we just put a camera in your house...cause you have way more drama than most television shows these days..and you are way funnier! I am constantly amazed at your amazing attitude through all of this! You are an inspiration and I'm not even dealing with all that "crap" anymore.

Just hopin' your diagnosis of the nasal drip drying all that gunk up sounds good to me! You're not the doc...but I'm sure you know more than anyone of those "professionals" Just trust your instincts...I know they never failed me!

Love the pictures of your cuties...sending hugs!

YOU are such a champ, hanging in there! You're making me worry again with all of the fatigue-like sleeping he is doing. Are you sure he's not getting sick? A cold would be so much easier to deal with... (for me and my nerves, that is!) In my mind, it could account for the fatigue AND the wretching. Ah, the wretching... these episodes you're describing with the mucousy crud from his mouth and tube-site... EXACTLY what we had as well, but we never figured out the culprit... it wasn't cardiac related, tho...
About the broken MicKey. Atleast YOU didn't yank it out of his tiny little belly! We actually did that and it was horrifying! The guilt!! You can't imagine... ((hugs)) get some sleep. -Kamaile

Kat,
Did the developmental specialist have anything to say about Isaac and his eyes? This just started AFTER his last visit to Stanford.

Try to sneak in a picture of Chris.
I want to see how his hair is looking!

Keep smiling!

Oh my goodness! Another crazy day in the Roller house. Isaac never wants things to be boring, does he? I'm so glad Joe was there to help with the mickey button. I don't know if I could deal with that on my own!

We mamas need to have honorary degrees! I'm glad the O2 is helping with the retching/throwing up. Hopefully you can get some answers soon with all of this. Something seems to be working extra hard in his little body. I can't believe how much he sleeps. He's like me!

Isaac, hi, it's Elijah's mama here, I just wanted to tell you to give your parents a bit of a break this weekend. Be a BORING baby for a few days, ok? Thanks! You're super cute!

p.s. Your Eli has BEAUTIFUL brown eyes!

p.p.s. We recorded Lost last night too. Can't wait to watch it tonight!

Hi Kathy, I'm friends with Samantha and Jen (and now Megan, too! :) ) and started reading your blog after seeing your comments in Samantha's all the time!! Your kids are adorable and FYI...I would have handled the button thing the exact same way....panic first, think later and hope there's someone there to take over!!! Take care, Cindy

I need to jump on the bandwagon with all you guys and start a Blog so my name isn't next to a grey shadow...but I have enough trouble updating my Caring Bridge! Samantha actually made it for me and I had to promise her I'd update regularly so her work on it wasn't for nothing!!

Wow - these babies are giving us fits, huh?? See, I told you - I need to come to Vegas and feed Isaac for you!! Then, you could have a break.

I am still so very confused about Lost...ugh!

Hope that you are having a great Friday. I just got a call from the hospital - hopefully they will have a bed between 3 and 4.

Love,
Jen

Talked to Dr. Mayman yesterday...

Thank goodness!

Ok, first of all I am in love with that picture of Isaac looking like a butterball with his shirt off! So cute! Second, after reading some of your blogs I am jealous your boys will take a nap with you! (at least Eli will!) I can't wait for Jacob to decide that would be a lovely thing to do!

That's funny you have kids with the same age difference as mine! Was Chris horrified when you told him you were pregnant? Stephanie thought it was the grossest thing she had ever heard and hated us for awhile! Now she loves her brother so much! Maybe the difference between her and Chris is that he is a HE. We girls are the nurturers! If you were ever to succeed in talking your husband into getting a job down here we could fix them up!!! Hope Isaac feels better and you have an uneventful weekend! Isn't it crazy that all these kids have decided this is the week they need to start acting up?
Take care,
Cindy
