The vent is out. Right now he is on two liters of oxygen and looking good. He still sounds really junky, but he will be able to cough now. So, now I'm just looking for a rocking chair so I can snuggle him.

What a relief - I'm so glad he is off the vent. Let's hope he stays off and continues healing in the right direction. Have fun snuggling with him.

Yay...snuggle time! I'm so happy for you guys. I just knew it was gonna be the day. Elijah was really junky sounding after the vent came out, too, but after a few good hacks he sounded much better.

WONDERFUL news! I am so glad that YOU get to hold your baby and enjoy him. I hope that you are holding together well, it must be so hard to be there all alone...You are one amazing woman!
